Captain America Brave New World is the next iteration in Captain America series and part of Phase 5 of MCU. It stars Anthony Mackie as the titular Captain America, firmly solidfying his hold on the mantle after the events of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
Captain America Brave New World was suppposed to release in 2024 itself but got pushed due to SAG-AFTRA strikes. Kevin Feige officially shared the release date at CinemaCon'24. The release date is February 14, 2025.
Marvel has released 1:40 mins of an official teaser which parallels the teaser shown at CinemaCon to Distributors. Giancarlo Esposito, despite being a recent addition to the the movie cast, is shown in the trailer. Other characters shown in teaser are Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, ex-Super Soldier Isaiah Bradley, The Leader a.k.a Samuel Sterns and Joaquin Torres. Catch the latest teaser below:
Captain America Brave New World cast details are in. Anthony Mackie returns as the new version of the titular Captain America. Thaddeus Ross's character has been recast, due to the death of William Hurt who essayed the role in previous Marvel movies. Giancarlo Esposito has been cast in the role of Sidewinder, the founder of Serpent Society in Marvel Comics, amid reshoots in June 2024.
Tim Blake Nelson has confirmed he would be appearing in Captain America 4 in an interview to Michael Rosenbaum on his podcast. Other cast members for Captain America: Brave New World include Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Flacon, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Shira Haas as Sabra. Xosha Roquemore, Seth Rollins, and Rosa Salazar have also been cast in undisclosed roles.
