Captain America Brave New World was suppposed to release in 2024 itself but got pushed due to SAG-AFTRA strikes. Kevin Feige officially shared the release date at CinemaCon'24. The release date is February 14, 2025.
Who can be the villain in the new Captain America 4?
Kevin Feige and Anthony Mackie have said in interviews that Captain America 4 movie is a grounded political action thriller. This potentially eliminates any supernatural or mystical villains. This also means any alien antagonists like the Skrulls are not in the picture.
The decision to bring in Matthew Orton reveals a bit more. The Moon Knight, despite being Avatar of Egyptian God Khonshu, has a rogues gallery which does not consist of many mystical villains. Among these villains is an organisation named The Committee.

In Marvel comics, The Committee was a secret organisation of businessmen with global interests. Their agenda had been to stimulate the economy and profit through any means. To further their aims, Committee created an atmosphere of fear which prompted the public to spend more. This brought them into conflict with another Marvel hero, Werewolf By Night.
Who does Giancarlo Esposito play in the Captain America Movie?
Giancarlo's role has not been revealed yet and details are scarce. According to Variety,Esposito revealed he’d been cast in a Marvel project during a panel at CCXP in Brazil earlier this month. There he also confirmed he was playing a original character rather than a version of Professor X from the X-Men series.
“There’s something about being original. We’ve seen different versions of Professor X,” Esposito told the crowd. “Wouldn’t you like to see me play a character in a Marvel movie who is original, and new, and fresh? So, mark my words: This will happen sooner than you think.”
Based on this, Giancarlo may be slated to play Sarnak, the antagonistic Master Of Sound. Sarnak is the henchman of The Committee, also having fought Werewolf By Night in the Marvel comics on behalf of The Committee.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the footage of Captain America 4 showcased at DisneyCon has scenes where super-soldiers, including Isaiah Bradley, are seemingly controlled by music from speakers while at a presentation inside White House. This could be Sarnak as the M.O. matches.
What is the plot of Captain America: Brave New World?
No official details have been shared by Marvel or Kevin Feige on the plot of the new Captain America movie. However it may be that the new iteration of The Committee is the Global Repatriation Council or a secret group within it . A GRC poster has been teased as an easter egg in Moon Knight series and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series has heavily featured GRC in the storyline.
The clincher that the villainous element may be GRC is the fact that super soldiers are manipulated in a room inside White House as per footage reports. As US and GRC have joined hands on paper, The White House can be assumed to be accessible by GRC agents.
Thus, the plot may be that Captain America fights against the GRC to stop them from exploiting the public and the world in an atmosphere of uncertainity after the events of the Avengers: Endgame.
