GTA 6 Release Date
While an exact date has not yet been shared by Rockstar Games, the release window has definitely been shared and it is heartening to know it is coming in Fall 2025. That's an year away now.

Fans waiting to delve into the world of GTA 6 will have wait for more a year and then some to get their hands on the next edition. The anticipation for GTA 6 has been building for years, and fans are eagerly awaiting any official trailers from Rockstar Games. Rockstar has teased the game with a trailer, creating a buzz across social media and gaming forums. The trailer have showcased glimpses of the game's stunning graphics and potential storylines. GTA 6 Gameplay
GTA 6 has will seemingly follow multi-protagonist play style introduced in GTA 5. GTA 5 had 3 playable protagonists. Rockstar Games has revealed at least two protagonists: Lucia and her male partner. Rockstar may reveal more playable characters as the release date for GTA 6 nears.
It is also speculated by YouTuber Legacy Killa HD, the game's story is estimated to span approximately 35-40 hours of playtime.
GTA 6 Map
Rockstar Games have not shied away from including large scale maps in their games, examples being Red Dead Redemption. GTA 6 may have the biggest map of any Rockstar Games property.
Now, thanks to one dedicated redditor who analyzed the first official trailer for GTA 6, it appears that the long-awaited sequel might feature over 100 locations for players to explore. GTA 6 is set to take place in Vice City and surrounding areas, seemingly based on real-life Florida and nearby regions, including Georgia, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and even the Bermuda Triangle.
While the GTA 6 story missions may take up 35-40 hours, the players looking to achieve the 100% GTA 6 completion through side-missions, interactions and easter eggs, may be in luck. With a huge map, the gameplay may extend to 70-80+ hours.
GTA 6 Pricing
GTA 6 has been in development for a decade and with long development cycle, Take Two, Rockstar Games's parent company might looking to recoup the investment a bit quicker. Thus GTA VI could be a little more expensive than the typical AAA game. It may have similar pricing like Hogwarts Legacy, which had arguably similar hype around it, when it released. Hogwarts Legacy had pricing tiers that started at $70-80 and went up to $290. Players can expect the pricing for GTA 6 to follow similar pattern.
GTA 6 Leaks
GTA 6 has been the target of 2 separate leaks. First leak in September 2022 contained 90 videos showing 50 minutes of game footage uploaded to GTAForums. The footage was confirmed to be genuine. The responsibility for the leak was taken by an hacker who also claimed to be behind Uber security breach. They claimed to have downloaded the files from the Rockstar employee's Slack channels.
The footage was criticised online for being of low graphic quality. Rockstar later cofirmed the leak was to "network intrusion" and the development was on track with no delays.
The GTA 6 trailer was also leaked 1 day before it's official release date on 4 December 2023.
